Hydroxymethyl Starch

Carboxymethyl starch is a modified starch etherified with carboxymethyl. It is odorless, non-toxic, not mildewed, and easily soluble in water. It is used in different foods to show thickening, suspension, emulsification, stability, and preservation It has many functions such as shape, film formation, puffing, preservation, acid resistance and health care, and its performance is better than carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). Food-grade carboxymethyl starch is widely used in milk, beverages, frozen foods, fast foods, pastries, syrups and other products.

1. The synthesis process of carboxymethyl starch is to put corn starch, sodium hydroxide and chloroacetic acid in a certain proportion and order into the ball mill for grinding

2. Spray the wetting agent and continue grinding while heating to react

3. After sufficient reaction, dry powder is obtained and finally weighed and packaged.
